Do you feel burdened by your desktop? Your laptop? Your cell phone?
In this technologically advanced age, few of us can fathom going a full day without our computers and access to the internet, much less sans cell phone. The advent of the mobile web is upon us as well, and many of us go about our days in constant contact with the internet. Can this be considered true contact though? Our primary means of communication has gone from face-to-face interaction to this mindless, at-times meaningless internet-based world of instantaneous communication. The world seems to converge online.
Do I feel burdened by my desktop, laptop or cell phone? Like any other teen in this age of modern technology, I embrace all three of the above. I admit though, even at this age, there are times when I'd like to turn everything off and simply go for a few hours at a time if not a day feeling unencumbered, by all our wireless devices, all the news that they bring and every other "convenience" that modern technology offers.
