US vs. US

Today we discussed the issues surrounding the US government and the multinational corporations that control more than we think. My professor feels that the United States is the bully of the global market and is trying to tear down developing third world countries. Countries like Nigeria and Iran are crumbling under the powerful markets and are being bought about because we are too strong. Our capitalist methods are unfair and are distancing us from the other parts of the world. Factory workers in Africa are struggling more and more because US markets sell them out very cheap and leads to labor cruelty.
I'm not sure how to take his harsh criticism of the country, but I would like to find other opinions towards our markets. Although some may be true or all of it, there needs to be explanations for businesses less than nice actions.
