Black Friday

I have never done real black friday shopping and it's always been something I couldn't understand, that race for the good deals that with all the craziness takes people's lives away. What happened last year was a shock and when i wanted to do some black friday shopping this year my mom ordered me not to do so. I was actually planning on waking up at 4 am to get the best deals... and filming the crowds rushing into the stores would have been so much fun too:) But none of my friends wanted to drive me that early so we simply ended up Mall Shopping later on in the afternoon. What can I say..very few bargains...

time.......

I don't know what to do... Time seems to be passing by way too quick. It's not normal. It has never been that obnoxious before. I just don't understand why is everything falling out of my hands exactly when the work needs to be done. And this feeling of constant tiredness that won't leave me alone adds to it. There are so many things I want to do now, there are other things that I have to do but somehow I always end up doing something completely different from those two.. weird

first show

Today we had our first performance of "Swallow This!" and as a 2009-10 cast member I was extremely excited for the show!! I loved it and it seemed like the audience loved it too!! So we are going to have many more shows in the future)) if you haven't seen us, come check it out!

Warranty/ No warranty

So when me and my roommate bought ourlaptops 2 years ago she paid additional $200 dollars for that insurance/ warranty service support whereas I decided that my Dell would be good the way it is. And I simply didn't have any more bucks to spend. Well, now that her computer got broken she gets to pick a new one! While I'm searching for a good hard drive to fix mine... hmm...

A life without a laptop is a nightmare!!!!!!!

and my roommie doesn't have one either so it is like a double nightmare.....

and they don't let you install SketchUp on those SINC Site computers so I have no opportunity to practice... which is sad....

Yesterday in class I did these... Unfortunately the older version of SketchUp on that Mac didn't have animation option..

Hard Drive Crashed

So from now on I will have to use campus computers until I order a new hard drie and it gets delivered here.... Unbelievable. My PC was only 2 years old and the hard drive crashed already. Considering that my laptop was pretty expensive when I bought it I totally don't understand how could it die so soon. I am upset.

Staged Readings

Just got back from the Pocket Theatre Staged Readings!!:) My first time doing that was not as good as I'd expected it to be... But anyway. It was a pleasure to be a part of the show:) Hopefully next time I'll get better! Today was such a saturated day for me. I've done some work, organized my "going to Canada" paperwork (which, trust me, was not an easy thing to do), saw These Shining Lives - the Fall'09 Main Stage Production of the Theatre Department ( great show!!! If you haven't seen it and still don't have a ticket- go GET ONE!), and, finally, participated in the Staged Readings. Great day full of great experiences! Hope everyone's Sunday was as good as mine!!

Home WIN!!!!

Yes!! We finally won!!! The meet was amazing! The Seawolves' Spirit was as strong as ever and we topped the opponent by quite a lot! A great meet had a wonderful ending with everyone happily eating cupcakes and other delicious goods baked by the best support one may find- the parents! I am extremely pumped from yesterday. The times I swam were very good; I was myself surprised I managed to win both of my events with such an advantage... Considering that I wasn't even feeling that well)

news

Well, I am right now in the SBU Sports Complex waiting for our swim meet against University of Maine to begin... It's going to be tight because they are pretty good. Since it is our first home meet everyone from the team is extremely excited. Most of the parents are here today;)

I can't get one of my best friends from home out of my head. She just told me she plans ON GETTING MARRIED THIS SUMMER. She is 19 right now. I don't know... I mean I am happy for her. Because whatever makes her happy makes me happy too.

cold

I feel really cold right now. But we always keep the windows open. Even during the winter.
In the morning, when me and my roomie were walking to the pool my fingers got frozen and because I kept my right hand outside holding the water bottle I realized I couldn't move it once we got into the building. It literally felt like it was January already. The day was ok, but as the sun went away the coldness came back..brrrrr.. My throat is not good but I hope I'm not getting a cold. Not now.

NO to getting sick!

I've been feeling really crappy recently. The headache won't leave me and that passive state of mind and weakness make me feel pathetic. This can't last. Today I almost missed muy practice due to this... I don't usually take pills unless it's too bad so I guess I'll wait for a little while and see how it proceeds.. Or I really hope stops right here. Back to normal because I can't handle any weaknesses today.

no laptop............

It's been exactly a day and a half without my laptop and I am going crazy already. That's good we have SINC sites all around campus so I can at least do my work here and there... And actually Vista Computers have a better Movie maker so it's easier to make videos;) Considering how slow my computer was running for the past month I have to say I'm enjoying doing stuff on these public computers. However, I don't know. Now i am confused. i never really appreciated Macs, their lineup and everything else seemed somewhat uncomfortable. Well, I need to do research and see... if they actually don't get viruses ( I've reinstalled the operating system on my laptop 2 times in the past couple of years and i don't think it allright..) then the next thing I'm investing in ( if I ever finally discover a money sourse..or get a new job) would be a Mac laptop. That's it. I'm upset. No Internet in my room for 2 weeks because that's what they said about my extremely difficult case in that computer support center. all I can do is wait....

So I realized I’ve lived in this world for almost twenty years and I have never been to a scary Haunted House…Pretty pathetic, right..Today I went to the one they had in my Dorm and to be honest wasn't impressed to much. However, I can definitely give all the guys a big credit for putting it all together. I want to go to a real one, though!!

So I just watched Silent Hill... Most of my friends saw the movie when it just came out a couple of years ago and they told me a lot about it, and, yes, I knew how it was going to end before the beginning.
So basically while watching it today I paid attention to various issues, apart from the horror staff and all the dead burnt creatures walking around... However the film seemed pretty confusing up until the end when the truth is revealed and everything becomes clear. The theme of feminism is being delivered throughout the entire movie, one may notice that all of the key characters are females and the driving force of the evolvement of the plot is mother's love to her daughter. And they unite at the end and are left together in the "parallel world" so to say, or, in other words, both are dead but somehow exist on the side of shadows.

THE TALLEST MOUNTAIN

So, yesterday me and my roommate were sitting in our room trying to do our homework (even though it was a little distructive)... I was doing some SketchUp stuff but I hated how it turned out so I don't think it's worth posting until I come up with something tolerably presentable..
While surveying the internet I got some links to trivias one of which asked the following question: "What is world's tallest mountain?" I laughed at the stupidity of the question, because since my third grade I've known that the highest mountain peak on Earth is mount Everest, also known as Chomolungma (with the hight of 8848meters above the sea level). And imagine my reaction when the screen gives me: "Your answer is incorrect!" I almost fell of my chair and asked my roommate of what she thought about this issue. She said they are insane and she was also taught that Everest is the highest mountain on our planet... So according to the trivia the tallest mountain is Mauna Kea in Hawaii with the height of 10,203 meters. I was in shock until I read the next sentence. 10,203 meters from its base on the floor of the Pacific Ocean! so it's just 4,207 meters above the sea level- so, well, it doesn't really satisfy the criteria of how the mountains are usually measured:) and Everest is the tallest anyway!
