8 this time... o boy

4. What would make you get rid of a friend?

One of our classmates said it best, drinking and driving. To me, it is an irresponsible and foolish decision to get behind the wheel of a car knowing you’ve had a little too much to drink. This would make me lose a friend, I don’t really care if he/she has done it a hundred times and they haven’t gotten caught or involved in an accident, there’s no excuse. A drunk driver killed one of my Dad’s best friends so sometimes I wonder how he must feel when he opens up the newspaper on Saturday morning and sees another person killed. Driving is a privilege, something that can be easily taken away if the driver is irresponsible and not following the law…

16. What kind of feeling do you feel when some distant friend texts you?

When a distant friend text me, I think of two things. What does he/she need me to do, or maybe they were just thinking about me, which makes me feel good. For the most part, when a distant friend texts me I’m shocked. It depends on how long ago I spoke to the person, but it still is a nice feeling knowing that he/she wants to see what I’m up to. Making the transition from high school to college, there are kids that I’m sure I will most likely never see again, which I’m sure is true for most people. Every year it seems that we lose more friends from high school because the are doing their own thing. Most of these kids I was never “good friends” with but still enjoyed hanging out with, it would be cool and interesting if I ever got a text from any of them.

34. When you are on a plane going long distance…and you and the persons next to you haven’t spoken a word and are watching twenty movies right in front of their eyes…are you worried that the plane will crash and the last person you see hasn’t spoken one word to you?

I chose this question because I thought it was very interesting. I have been on a plane numerous times now so the whole idea of flying doesn’t seem to really bother me too much. This theory of time and death can be very controversial. Unfortunately, I feel that when your time is up, your time is up. That plane is going to crash whether the person next to you is having a full all-out conversation with you, or if he hasn’t talked to you, let alone acknowledged your existence. Therefore, for me at least, I wouldn’t be worried about whether or not the person next to me isn’t talking to me.

41. Are you worried about your ‘resume’ and are afraid of rejection?

I am not worried about my resume. I know that there are obviously people who have better resumes and others who don’t. Sure, I always want to join clubs to make my resume look better, but it is only as good as the person who its about. If I know that I put the effort in, and I tried my hardest throughout school, then there is nothing to be worried about. Everyone is a little afraid of rejection. Nobody likes that feeling. But, fortunately, there are many other opportunities out there that may present a better chance to succeed. For example, hypothetical situation, I go to apply for this job. I go on the interview and I think they really like me, but unfortunately I don’t get a call back. Well, I just had practice, now I know what I need to do differently on my next interview, maybe for a bigger and better job...

43. Would you like to throw your cell phone in the river sometimes…a big cathartic, water-skipping throw?

If I had the money to buy a box of cell phones and throw them across the river, sure, why not. I wish I could do that now, when my cell phone searches for service in my house and I have to send a text message three times over because the “network is not responding.” What about when your in the middle of a conversation on your cell phone and the “call was lost?” Cell phones are only good when they work right. Another problem is when you charge you phone overnight and then three hours later it dies, I’m sure everyone has had this happen at some point. Cell phones are good for a lot of things if you like to hang out at the Verizon store a lot…

45. What do you think of the public feed on facebook?

I have mixed feelings about this feature on facebook. It shows me some stuff that interests me and other stuff where I could care less. It shows me people who I haven’t seen in years and others who I hung out with last night. What bothers me most is the stupid facebook quizzes and the unnecessary videos that people post “Oh I miss you soooo much,” every other day to the same three kids, lol. It also seems kind of creepy that anyone on your friends list can see what you are basically doing at all hours of the day. Facebook has received a temporary new name, Stalkerbook…

46. Do you make public messages or use the private messages?

I have never utilized the “private message” feature on Facebook. I don’t even know how you do it. “Inbox me,” sorry I don’t know how too. It’s a lot easier to just write on the wall instead, or not even you Facebook, “I’ll just text you.” Facebook is more useful for when people can’t get in touch with friends, today, cell phones are more convenient and more efficient.

48. Are you afraid of ‘getting busted’ on face book?

Not at all, I have nothing to hide. I barely have any pictures posted up on Facebook anyways. All of the pictures are posted up by other people, and they’re all fine. I don’t think I have anything to worry about…
