Lunch with Grandma

Yesterday I enjoyed a delicious lunch with my grandma. A couple of weeks ago I had called her up so she could tell me stories about all the pictures I had of her when she was younger. Yesterday I showed her the finished product and she seemed more than impressed. One of the things she seemed happiest about was that her memories and our family's memories were now preserved for another generation. One of the things I enjoyed most about sharing this experience with her was that she seemed so happy sharing her stories. My grandma is not one to talk about herself or her past much but after I got her to open up she seemed to really enjoy it and continued sharing stories over lunch. It was definitely not an afternoon I will soon forget.
