exploded faucet

so i decided to do some homework tonight after a good weekend. and while doing some orgo i hear what seems to be water, a lot of water, coming from the bathroom and im all the way at the end of the hall. then i hear a lot of commotion in the hallway. so i go check to see what's happening and guess what? one of the faucets in the bathroom exploded and water was shooting straight up. and within minutes, the water was already coming out from under the door and seeping into the carpet. good thing everything got under control and the water was turned off relatively quick. but another ra and i had the honors of mopping the water in the bathroom.
