I hate my laptop!!

my dad bought me this laptop when i was a sophomore in high school and i used it for maybe a year before my desktop got fixed. once that got fixed, i didn't really use my laptop because the desktop was way faster. my laptop is a compaq presario and its pretty old and stuff. i decided not to buy a new laptop before coming here freshman year because it was still functional, just a little slow. sometimes when i go on webpages, my laptop lags but i've gotten used to it. last year, it didn't really bother me because i used my laptop for the Internet and writing essays. and i live in benedict so if my laptop was too slow for me to bare, i would just go downstairs to the sinc site. so last year, i was like whatever, i can manage continuing to use this laptop until it dies of after i graduate. however, this year, i need my laptop to do projects with sketch up, comic life and photoshop. and i find it really difficult to always having to go to the sinc site to do the projects. i dont live in a building that has a sinc site downstairs so i'm really not compelled to walk over to benedict. i'm seriusly thinking about buying a new laptop during thanksgiving break cause it's starting to be a problem now. and my friends all know about the slowness of my laptop and make fun of me because of it. they also refuse to come to my room to do any homework that requires loggin onto blackboard like orgo workshops because my laptop will either lag or not respond.

The Garage Band Thing

I'm sitting in the SINC site right now at a Mac computer. I'm messing with Garage Band right now, since I can't do it at home because I don't have a Mac. I'm getting some funky beats going, ya know, feelin' good. I kind of want to do a rant right now, like what we were doing in class the other day. The only problem is that I am in the middle of the SINC site. What am I gonna do? I can't start ranting in the middle of the SINC site. People are going to think I'm bat shit crazy. I'm not downloading Acid either. Not only because you have to pay for it, but because I don't know how well it's going to run on my laptop. My laptop is four years old and has a total hard drive space of 49GB. So, I'm a little reluctant to pay for software that I put put on my computer. In the meantime, I'm going to funkify myself with some gnarly beats in Garage Band and, unfortunatley, do it without my voice over work.

People of the SINC site

Ever been in the SINC site when it's jam packed? Sure you have. The other day I was trying to leave a computer when it was jam packed and this fat kid lunged at me while I was packing my books. After he scared the willies out of me I realized that he just wanted my computer because he saw I was about to leave it. The guy even goes so far to start typing before I even get up. So, I got a little upset with him and told him "cut it out, you're freaking me out." I mean what is wrong with some people? All he had to do was wait a few seconds and no one was going to take the computer when he was standing right there. Now, this kid didn't look like he was playing with a full deck, if you know what I mean, but people need to learn to have a little common decency.
