Yankees win World Series!!!!

Yankee domination!! 27th world series title. first world series in the new stadium. it was an awesome game with Matsui powering it out in the beginning. its been a long awaited victory...

GAME 6

Soooooooooooo it all comes down to this, well not really, there is always a possible GAME 7. We don't want that. Even if the yankees are Home, it's still gonna be tough to stop the Phillies. I almost had tickets for tonight's game!! Yea, Saturday night, actually more like Sunday morning at 230, my friend and I purchased tickets for GAME 6. They were only $97, for a World Series game? Why not right. Well the next day my friend got an email saying there was a problem processing the tickets, prob a typo or something because they were definitely too cheap. Seats in the same row were going for $800!! We almost had it, I really wanted to go though....

Nick Swisher

Hey now, lets hear it for Nick Swisher. I knew he would turn it around. Everyone I talked to was telling me about how Girardi should bench him, but I respectfully disagreed. I knew he would snap out of it. I love the Swish. He cracks me up. He reminds of a baseball player from the 1930's. I wouldn't be surprised to see him scarfing down hot dogs between innings in the dug out, like what Babe Ruth use to do. His interviews are hilarious too. He always seems like he's jacked up on something. Maybe there's something more than tobacco in that lip he always packs.

Yankees need a win tonight

Tonight the Yankees play the Phillies in GAME 2 of the World Series. After a loss to Cliff Lee, Phillies pitcher last night, this is becoming must win for the Yankees. Going down 2 games to none would put the Yankees in a tough situation, I would much rather it be tied at a game each. There wasn't much the Yankees could do about the pitching last night; Cliff Lee probably had one of his best games of his life. He was simply untouchable, going a complete game with 10 strikeouts. Whatever, tip your cap to him, but it all comes down to tonight, the Yankees need to beat up Pedro Martinez. Remember the "who's your daddy," ahah I still have that tshirt somewhere. We need to take advantage of playing at home and win tonight, before it's too late. Swisher, I don't know what were gonna do with you...

come on Yankees..

really? they had the lead and lost it. so close to winning the ALCS. what a missed opportunity. where did the momentum go? it makes me want to pull my hair whenever i see a game like this. all they needed was to win this one game to go to the world series. now they're only leading the series by one game 3-2. next game guys!!

JOBA RANT

START RANT - I'm watching the Yankee game, ALCS GAME 3, and Joba Chamberlain is doing terrible. What the hell is going on right now? 2 years ago the guy would come out of the bullpen to pitch and he would be lights out, now he has become pretty shaky. Honestly, I don't know if the Yankees know what to do with him any more. He is constantly being moved from starter to releiver and vice versa. As a starter, he pitches a few innings of average baseball, he needs to step it up and get back to the way he used to pitch in 07. When starting, he has a limited number of pitches, because of the "Joba Rules." Come on, give me a break, I understand you don't want to kill his arm, but the Yankees need him now, who knows 5 years from now, will he still be a Yankee? I doubt it, i don't know, maybe he will. Let's take tonight Joba comes in to pitch the 7th he has one out and no one on. First batter triple, next a sac fly, which gives the Angels a lead, and then a double. Joba, you need to do better then that man. I understand your young and don't have much "play off experience," but you need to pitch better. Just be yourself. Andy Pettitte didn't do great, but he was at least able to hold them to 3 runs in 7 innings. END RANT... Now, Gardiner just got thrown out stealing, and a HOMERUN by Posada to tie it up..... LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

ALCS GAME 1

In case you missed the game last night, the Yankees beat the Angels 4-1. An outstanding performance by the Yankees ace C.C. Sabathia 8 IP 4H, ER, 7K. Couldn't ask for much more out of him in this game. Mariano Rivera comes in to pitch the 9th and record another save in the record books. This is something new for the Yankees. Every year, the Yankees have a problem with the Angels, but with 3 costly errors during the game the Yankees took advantage and take GAME 1. Damon and Jeter each recorded two hits and Matsui going 2-3 in the game. Rodriguez, Matsui, and Jeter each drove in runs to help the Yankees prevail over the Angels. I don't really care about the Angels stats except Abreu stuck out like 8 times. But, anyway a great and much-needed GAME 1 win for the Yankees. Right now, I don't want to jinx it, but the Yankees are looking unstoppable. I can't wait to see the Dodgers in the World Series, bringing Torre and Manny back to the bronx!

YANKEES sweep!

oh yeah too good. yankees won 4-1 tonight. 3 game sweep over the twins. woo hoo! what a nice game. A-rod and Posada are awesome. finally going to the championship series in five long years. this year they played really well, winning over 95 games. well played yankees. lets keep the momentum going and went the championship series.

No Yankees v. Red Sox?

The Red Sox are out of the playoffs and this makes me a little bit sad. Don't get me wrong, I'm a die hard Yankee fan of the toughest breed, but aren't you a little disappointed that we're not going to see the Yankees vs. Red Sox in the ALCS? It's always so classic. The Red Sox suck something awful this year too (that's why they got swept by the Angels), so the Yankees would have just steam rolled right over them. It would have been fun to watch that too. I'm a little bit worried about the Angels. They're not bad. The Yankees are definitely better, but I don't trust those halo wearing mother f*ckers. They might have some tricks up their sleeves. Like in Angels in the Outfield.

Yankees!!! leading the series!!

the Yankees are playing game 3 against the Twins tonight at Minnesota. they're up 2-0 in the series and let's hope they end it tonight with a sweep. im so excited, im debating whether to watch the game or do my lab report which is due on tuesday and counts for a lot of the grade. such a hard decision. i know i should be writing the report but i don't want to miss the game.

haha for the sox, they were leading the game and lost it in the 9th inning. sucka.

Friday!

It's finally friday and its tie to lay back and chill. we just finished having dinner at the Bench and saw most of the Yankees game. The game is pretty awesome and its still going on right now, I think top of the eleventh inning. What a teeth clenching game. The Yankees better put through. Its also really quiet on campus. I wished more people actually stayed on campus during the weekend. It's actually pretty fun on the weekends.

PS: Just found out right now, Yankees won 4-3 bottom of the 11th.

Yankees!!!

Leading the ALDS 1-0 against the Twins, I'm hoping that the Yankees will come away tonight with a victory. It's been almost nine years since they've won a world series. Lets hope 2009 is the year for them. they've spend so much money on players that's sometimes it's really disappointing that they don't make it far enough.

By the way, I hope Boston loses tonight to the Angels. Also, that pitch to Hunter was totally intentionally. Sox always plays dirty.

A Thrilla by Godzilla

This blog is dedicated to you, Hideki Matsui. Everyone expected you to crash and burn this year. They said your career was ova! But you respectfully disagreed with them. You told everyone to go mess themselves and you hit 28 homeruns and drove in 90 RBI's. And you did it all without playing every game and from the designated hitter position. What better way to give everyone the middle finger, including myself. With all of your knee problems, you could have just rolled over and died this year. No one would have thought anything of it because that is what they expected. Matsui's nickname is Godzilla. But after this year, I think we're going to have to make Godzilla's nickname Matsui.

Fall is a-here

It's the Fall time baby! The air is getting a little bit colder and the leaves-they-are-a-changinnn. Time to break out the parkas, windbreakers, and babushkas. It's almost time for the Yankees to win the World Series and for all you creepy looking ghosts, ghouls, goblins, and zombies to come out for Halloween. Time to eat that candy corn and to carve them pumpkins. If you ask me, personally, I prefer the temperature to be a bit warmer, but I do enjoy the scenery of some Fall weather. Makes me want to eat some pumpkin pie and sip some warm apple cider. mmmmmmmm cider. For all you photographers (I didn't forget about y'all) it's time to take some pictures of some beautiful colors on all the leaves as they change from green to red, yellow, and brown. It puts me in a euphoric state just thinking about it. So, get out there and breathe in some Fall air because it won't last for long once Old Man Winter comes along with his long beard and cold breath, and just blows it all away.
