HALLOWEEN 09 pt. 2

After our fun at the stage door and hanging out with everyone, my ex and I who I'm still with friends confessed some difficulties dealing with a new person I told him may be potential of some sort of relationship. There was no hostility but the ex admitted that it was difficult to see me liking someone else or potentially having feelings for someone. Our good friendship made it hard to see him the way he was but life has to go on. We parted ways soon after because he couldn't face being around us anymore which I understood but was very upset about. My little buddy, my friend Michael and I simply left earlier than everyone else but had some good bonding time, so I guess everything sort of worked out :/.

HALLOWEEN 09!

Even though my Halloween wasn't productive at all, I was accompanied by a great posse. From 6pm to 11:30 pm we roamed the streets of Times Square, Midtown, and the Village, and all of us shared an abundance of attention. Considering I was dressed in an outfit that only Richard Simmons could be proud of, I got plenty of comments on my short short shorts and a married couple asked if I wanted to come home with them for some fun. In our group we had 2 britney spears (hit me baby one more time outfits), devil, half naked hansel, hippie, firefighter, 80's chick, and village richard simmons (me). We saw my best friends little brother and a few others birdies at the Bye Bye Birdie Stage, along with our friend Jed (Avenue Q) and we were having a blast taking pictures and being ridiculous. FUUUUN!

trick or treat!

it is halloween today! that means it is time to dress up like crazy, eat lots of candy, carve pumpkins, and party hard! and I did just that. I went home this weekend because I had an interview near home on Friday morning. So the rest of Friday I finished my costume and got ready for halloween. My suitemates and I were dressing up as the cast from Wizard of Oz. My sister is dorothy, deanne is the lion, elise is the tinman sarah the wicked witch, and i was glinda the good witch. Kelly was suppose to be the scarecrow but she had to work all night and didnt join us at the party... :(
Halloween morning we woke up late had lunch and I took my little sister trick or treating. She would get collect candy for herself and I helped collect donations for UNICEF. (United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund.) for her school.
People were very generous and donated money as well as giving candy.
After getting candy we went back home to hand out candy and carve our pumpkins. We made our jack-o-lanter into patrick from spongebob and my other sister did spongebob. They came out great and we lit them up after dinner.
Later that night my sister and our boyfriends took us back to stony where we were having our halloween party in the apartments. My suitemates had already decorated the place and it looked very fall/halloween festive.
My costume turned more into princess peach from nintendo supermario. but it didn't matter. everyones costume was great. It was a good turnout and the party was a success!
The tinman's costume was made with aluminum foil! so funny... at home I saw a hotdog, lots of disney princesses. There were a lot more homemade costumes on the street. still looked great though.

Halloween.. the movie

i just came back from a team dinner at my friends house. she cooked pasta and made salad for us which was pretty cool and nice. after we ate, we saw i think the newest version of Halloween. i don't like seeing horror movies cause the images will still be stuck in my head and i'll be so paranoid and scared. the movie had it's scary moments and i jumped a couple of times and everyone laughed at me. when the movie ended, i was still a little scared and hesitate to go to the bathroom cause i thought they would try to scare me. even when my friend dropped me off on campus, i sprinted from the parking lot to my buildingand ran upthe stairs. and i'm sleeping tonight with all my lights on.

The pookie-mask

My friend invented this thing called the pookie-mask. It's a paper bag wrapped in tape with holes for the mouth and eyes. It's amazing what you can do with a simple plastic bag and some tape. The pookie-mask is a revolutionary Halloween mask that is highly resourceful. Get your pookie-mask today!

Halloween ideas!

so my roommates and i were planning our next big party, since we just finished recuperating from the past birthdays! We decided that it would be a Halloween party. I decided we should dress up as a group. So we sat and thought for a while about a theme that has 5-6 people. Spice girls came to mind and sounded like a good idea, but then one of my roommates was already a spice girl in the past. So she came up with ninja turtles, and I thought that was silly..
Later that night my roommate came down the hall skipping and singing "Because! Because! Becauseeeeee........!!!" and I was like that's it! We should be the cast from the Wizard of Oz!

And that's how it happened... we delegated each roommate a character, and we started to make costumes. I am going to be Glinda the good witch, Stacey is Dorothy, Elise is Tin man, Kelly is Scarecrow, Deanne is Lion.. and we don't know if Sarah wants to be the other witch.
Before we looked up costumes online, Elise's first idea was to wrap herself up with aluminum foil!
Then i showed her the adult sexy costume and she threw the foil out the window!

Halloween is a funny holiday. You dress up to be someone else.... the older you get the sillier and the less is better comes to play. You can go door to door taking candy from strangers, and being scary is fun. am i missing anything? maybe. comment and let me know!

I know you can't wait for this day too!

Fall is a-here

It's the Fall time baby! The air is getting a little bit colder and the leaves-they-are-a-changinnn. Time to break out the parkas, windbreakers, and babushkas. It's almost time for the Yankees to win the World Series and for all you creepy looking ghosts, ghouls, goblins, and zombies to come out for Halloween. Time to eat that candy corn and to carve them pumpkins. If you ask me, personally, I prefer the temperature to be a bit warmer, but I do enjoy the scenery of some Fall weather. Makes me want to eat some pumpkin pie and sip some warm apple cider. mmmmmmmm cider. For all you photographers (I didn't forget about y'all) it's time to take some pictures of some beautiful colors on all the leaves as they change from green to red, yellow, and brown. It puts me in a euphoric state just thinking about it. So, get out there and breathe in some Fall air because it won't last for long once Old Man Winter comes along with his long beard and cold breath, and just blows it all away.

candy corn

Candy corn is a bizarre little food. It used to come around only once a year but now candy companies are making a new variety for every holiday, red, green, and white for Christmas, and an assortment of pinks and reds for valentines day. I kind of have a love-hate relationships with the little sweets. On the one hand I always look forward to their arrival in the fall but after I eat a few they kinda make me feel sick, yet I can't stop eating them.

One year for Halloween I wore the highest most impossible to walk in shoes and ended up getting many splinters in my hand from holding on to a wooden handrail in an attempt to stay upright. The next day the splinters were painlessly removed while I munched on a bag of delicious candy corn. The story is kind of pointless but I can no longer eat candy corn without thinking about it. They also make a great snake during boring lectures, the sugar high gets me through every time.
