Interview with the Vampire

I think this film is the most accurate depiction of a vampire I have ever seen. If vampires existed this is how they would be. The film is about Louis who is biten by a vampire for no other reason than for company. The story picks up from there and of course it is Louis who is telling this story of his life through a interview (which is why the film is called Interview with a vampire). The vampires in this film comes off as lonely, clinging together for company as they take what they need and nothing more as they try to go on not noticed as they continue to live throughout the ages. All the elements of the vampires are included, and the performances were really great. The feeling of being alone could be felt as well as all the trial Louis went through in the film, especially with him coming to terms with being a vampire. One of the more interesting subplot was when a young girl is bitten and turned into a vampire. She continues to live to be over a hundred years old yet she still have the body of a child. seeing someone come to terms with such a situation is interesting a well as vampires whom travel alone (it seems as if vampires are far and few in between). this is one of the older vampire films (as it came out in the 90's) and one of the better vampire films out there.
