For most of my life, I never cared about sports. My father is more of the "professorial" type who finds CSPAN more exciting than ESPN. Believe me, so do I for the most part, but I started to take an interest in sports towards my late teens as I had never been exposed to it. My grandmother is a devout Mets fan, and when I'd spend time with her during baseball season, she'd always have the Mets game on in the background, and I would, for the most part, not pay attention. But something drew me in during the 2006 season, and I became an absolute Mets fan. So now I deal with the entitled Yankees fans, and that's super fun. And when I say super fun, I mean extremely annoying.
Look, I understand your team manages to get ahead somehow, and that's great, but yeah - the other baseball fans, that like other teams, also love their teams. I don't need you bragging to me about your pompous team, I deal with this in the EPL enough with Manchester United fans (who are pretty much the English equivalent of the Yankees), so yeah, it's great that your team is doing well this year, but why do you feel the need to complain about fans of other teams all the bloody time? Sorry, but I've never come across fans as overly obnoxious as Yankees fans in baseball. As a Mets fan, I ask you to shut up about my failure of a team and let me sulk in peace, cheers.
