studying...

you think that you are as cracked out as me and my girlieeeess!?!...... goodluck it took allnighters and lots and lots of amp to get us to this point of no return ... sitting in the library looking at our books and not able to sit still ... <3 how is it that our bodies can be so awake and yet so dead ?!

GROUPS!

So I've been a business major since I was a freshman, and every time we split up into teams there are always 6-7 people in the group. Before I start ranting let me tell you about my major, the business major has 4 different concentrations; I'm in marketing, and the marketing classes I take the more I start to see familiar faces. I've made lots of friends as classmates and so this semester I have been going to class saying hi to practically everyone.
First day of my advertising class I sit in the front row. As people start to walk in, I say hi and they start to sit near me.

First there was John; I had class with him in the past and we interned together
Then there was Grace; John's friend.
Then Stephanie; We had class last semester and we worked on a team project together
Then Kelly; my friend and my suite mate.

Class starts and my professor explains the course, and how there will be a team project. I immediately turn to Kelly and we are definitely working together.

The next day I was walking back to my room and a girl comes up to me and says she has class with me. I have no idea who she is. She said we had class together in the past too. Well we started talking and she was really nice. Then she asked me if we can be in a group together. I said okay.

The next class John started a conversation with Kelly and I and asked "What should our team name be?", So we assumed we were a group... but then we had to discuss an issue and compare answers with people sitting near us, and John didn't look our way. So Kelly and I turned to the other side where Kristen was. All the sudden a desk gets pulled up next to us and it was my friend from freshman year, Eric. He started asking if we made a group yet, and if he can be in it. I didn't know WHO was in my group so i didn't answer him.

I turn to Kelly and I'm like everyone wants to be in our group!!

Now we have 6 people in our group.

Over the weekend our professor sends an email out to the class saying "Please come to class with your team of 4 ready to discuss the project".

OH MY GOD!
FOUR?!? 4?!? It is never 4! I'm in a pickle now!

So Kelly and I really wanted John in our group because he would be a great asset to the team, so we asked and he said yeah, only if his friend grace can be in it too, which was fine since we assumed it anyway.

Then I get another email that day, from Stephanie saying "hey do you want to be in a group, since we've worked together before and I don't know anyone else in the class".

I felt so bad for kicking out 3 teammates. So I told Eric and Stephanie I already have a group, since they are the last people to ask. But I emailed the professor and she said it is okay to have 5, so Kristen is safe.

I am dreading this class tomorrow, and how the teams will turn out.!
