the testing system

Since I entered the schooling system as a five year old, I have always been a horrible test taker. I find it to be such a stressful experience, and unnatural environment to see what you have learnt from a certain situation. I love learning, and I understand that of course there has to be a way to examine what someone has taken from a class, but I find it unfair that a system that some people can succeed at with ease can be so detrimental to people that have learnt as much, but maybe can't express themselves the same way through the testing system.

I have a huge problem with the SAT system as well, and hated trying to memorize certain techniques that would hopefully come up in the exam. Is this really how we're judging kids today? How fair is it that someone who could bullshit their way through a standardized test could get a spot in College over someone who might be just as or even more intelligent? I really think this is why there is such a high college dropout rate (aside from economics), because the way in which we are "prepared" is bogus - and the thought process is much different as you advance in education, except that bloody testing system will always remain. Ridiculous.
