Speed Racer

So I finally saw Speed Racer and to my surprise.....I really liked it. When I first saw the trailer for the film I thought it was interesting and since the Wachowski brothers directed it how could it be bad right. Well what happened is that the film came out and it was flooded by bad reviews so going to the movies to see the film was out of the question. Not to metion that most of the Wachowski brothers' films seemed to come short compared to their mega hit The Matrix (which is reasonable). The reviews labeled the film as being for lack of a better word, childish. Then the box office results wasn't too good either, I don't think it broke even when compared to its' enormous budget. So after knowing all of this I simplely lost the desire to watch the film. Then I saw the film on T.V. So I figure, it can't hurt watching the film. I saw how much like the cartoon the film seemed (it was really live bring real people to an animated world) but for some reason, it worked. I looked at the whole film and enjoyed it. I even laughed at some of their jokes (which was kind of chessey ) but i really liked it. I could understand why it did bad at the box office (because it was promoted wrong) it was a children's movie but the trailers made it seem like something else, more mature for lack of a better word. But it wa a really good film if you have an open mind.
