Kid Robot!!

My room mate has a newfound obsession with KidRobot collectible key chains. What is KidRobot you ask??

KRbt is a producer and retailer of designer toys, featuring imports from Japanese and European artists ranging from Mike Shinoda of Lincoln Park to Jaime Hewlett, creator and artistic director of Gorillaz. In store toys range from 2 to 2 thousand dollars!!

Luckily for Steve, ebay.com has sellers from all over the net willing to give away their rare KRbt figurines for under 5 dollars. He's bought a total of 10 figurines, but here are some of my favorites.

I got a job yesterday!! Finally....after being unemployed since september due to the start of the semester which forced me to leave my summer job...I now have some steady income coming in! I'm working at the new Penguin Clothing store in Soho! Best of all it's right around the corner from my old job at Kidrobot!! Do you know what that means!? Now I can go to happy hour for lunch with my old Kidro crew and get mojitos from the Cuban spot around the way!! Hooray!

Original Penguin SoHo is located at 103 Greene Street between Prince Street and Spring Street

LABOR DAY FUN!

Well yesterday was a fun day labor day for me and my compadres. It all started off after a Sunday night of some free drinks, supplied by my kind and gracious bartender friend Briana. I brought up the idea of having a good ol' fashioned BBQ with the fam to my boy Teo, whom I brought along to share a pint of Guinness. Teo just moved into his new apartment RIGHT on St. Marks Place in the East Village and aside from living in such an cool neighborhood, his crib is totally awesome. He's got a ton of space for him and his roomate, and he also has access to a backyard area! He's the only tenant that has this luxury in the whole building with the door to the backyard being right in his kitchen!! So naturally Teo was down with the idea of hosting a BBQ and we immediately invited all of our closest friends to join us in the festivities. The day went off without a single problem. We picked up the grill from Kidrobot in Soho, wheeled it over to St Marks, bought all the meat and veggies from the whole foods spot, picked up a couple cases of beer, and set the dominos box down on the table. There's no better feeling, for me at least, than to be in the company of some of the people you care about most.....just relaxing, smoking, drinking, and talking shit with those that inspire me on a daily basis. I treasure my group of friends for those reasons and there was no better way that I couldve spent my Labor Day weekend!
