Grant Writing

It seems like a really cool idea, but I don't know it's a lot of time invested into a project. There's no guarantee. I'm still going to go through with this Autism thing because it always looks good on the resume and could help in the future. If I can get a free netbook and some extra cash, i guess it's worth a try....

Lottery

I wanna make a post asking everyone what they would do if they were given a million dollars that must be spent in one day. It would take me a while to reallyyy think about it before i went spending. I think a donation to a charity would be nessecary but after that the fun begins. I would buy me and my parents a car of choice, than i would invest a hundred tghousand or so in the stock market, and finish it off with a huge down payment on a nice home.

Meal Points

The whole entire meal points system at stony brook is complete bogus.. you pay $17,000, for 14,000 meal points.. hmm.. now where does that work out. It doesn't work out! plain and simple, your getting scammed! Nothing in this world is free, nothing is a non-profit, everything is a profit hungry machine. Schools goals are to make money, to get more students, so are prisons.

Blue Moon

My favorite beer is Blue Moon, you just can't beat it. A very nice tasting light orange flavored beer, served with a fresh slice of orange to a parched ever thirsty mouth. Granted it's a bit more expensive, but its worth the duckage. I mean would you really rather be pounding Natty Ice, or Miller High Life? I'm not saying for a college student on a tight budget that those aren't great options to get you drunk for cheap, but if im going to sit down and enjoy a good beer, that is pretty commonly known, and easy to get, i always go with blue moon.

/SATURDAY

Instead of spending my day doing homework, like what was planned; I went out to Roosevelt Field mall to go shopping. I bought 3 tops and I built a dog at build-a-bear workshop. Everything came out to about 60$. I came home to make money, not to spend money. I really need to learn to say "no" to buying stuff I can live without.

Now its 4PM and I have ample time to do school work. Maybe I'll bring it with to me to work and read the book because I have no clue what to write my paper on. If only all classes were simple and fun...

All I Wanted Was A Little More Gucamole

I was in the Union Foood Court at SBU and was ordering a chicken burrito. The guy sparingly added the ingredients and proceeded to put my last request of guacolmole in the center of my burrito. I proceeded to ask him very nicely if he could just put a little more on the other sides since it was just in the center of the wrap and he said NO. I mean the dude was like NO, I can't give you anymore because It will deplete my supply. I looked at him, looked down at the overflowing container of guacamole (next to nearly empty containers of cheese, lettuce, pico de gallo, salsa, jalepenos etc.) and looked back at him while thinking, is this guy serious? So after trying to contain my disgust I told him this is what you are going to do; I said I don't think its a problem if you put extra on there, I dont think I will deplete your supply so kindly put another scoop on my burrito and if you want you can charge me for it, but you are going to do it. He proceeded to put the extra after much hesitation and marked an X on my plate. He said I marked it so that they can charge you for the guacamole. I said thanks and at the same time another lady that serves the food placed my burrito on the grill and gave me an unmarked plate with it. She signaled ot me that he was crazy.

I was upset because SB acts as if you aren't paying your money for the food. They act as if you use magical pretend dollars when you pay them. I mean for all that money you pay for food whats the problem with a little extra gucamole. Get it together Stony Brook. I'm giving you my money just the same as I would to any other restaurant/food place.

i need a jobb ...

I work at the math/physics library two days a week and due to cuts and the present state of the economy the school which i pay out of my butt to be in decided that i only need to work two hours a day ... two hours a day!!!! that's fours hours a week for all of the calc majors out there. How can someone call four hours a week at minimum wage a job!
- i feel like everyone is looking for a job. People who have already finished college can't even find a job now a days ... i wish the economy was better .. money didn't matter .. and everyone wasn't money obsessed.
