This is my SketchUp animation. A lot of things could be said about it, but I prefer to sum it up by saying that the individual in it is on top of the world!

my first sketch up video, it's terrible but it's a start. i took a file of the skrapan building in västerås, about 5 minutes from where i lived. doesn't look the same anymore now that i've thrown colours into the mix and skewed the corners.

3D Dorm Room!

Here's my sketch up of a typical dorm room at stony brook university! This is believe is a great example of what stony offers. You get a roommate, a cot, a dresser, a closet, and a desk. The set up i made is the best room. With the door in the middle you can easily split the room in half for you and your roommate. Most rooms have the door on one side and it automatically becomes impossible to rearrange furniture. and if you do not like your roommate you have to walk between them and their bed or squeeze between them....you get the picture. I had a lot of fun creating this. let me know what you think!

My First 3D image!

My first 3D image using sketch up. I created a ladder because it's simple with multiple lines and one color. Of course this is just an image but in sketch up you can change views and see all the different angles. 2D is flat like all movies, which is why 3D movies are fun. I like having the feeling of things being real, everything comes to life when they are 3D.

... wow i had no idea that the computer had so much skill .. i am not very into computers and the most advanced of my skills is finding something i'm looking for on google .. i have absolutely minimal skills with programs like this. but i looking forward to this course and broadening my computer skills.
so i've been playing with sketchup for a lil now and i have found that allot of the 3D warehouse is in chinese .. the tools are very cool and interesting .. theres is an actually camera tool where u can look inside the building you are creating and see form a person's perspective inside the building.. all and all it seems like a good program for people who are interested in architecture or stuff like that to use .. i like it :) its a little difficult for me but i know with some more practice ill be able to use it with good results.

.... i just tried to put an image of my future home i built in sketch up on this and my computer totally bugged out n i ended up with the beach ball of death for 20 minutes and some kind of crazy chinese calligraphy on my screen .. something i need to work on i guess lol
