COS Grants

Perusing the sea of grants out there, I settled on delving more into these:

1. Getty Images' Grants for Editorial Photography: $5k - $20k
Getty Images is thus pleased to offer Grants for Editorial Photography. More than a monetary award, Getty Images Grants for Editorial Photography provide photographers with the creative freedom and collaborative editorial support necessary to produce documentary features that raise the bar of visual excellence.

2. Corning Incorporated Foundation's Community Service Grants:
The foundation supports a variety of organizations that serve a broad base of constituents. Included in this category are hospitals and hospices, community foundations, youth and women's centers, YMCAs, local chapters of Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America, and selected United Ways

3. Taiwan Foundation for Democracy's International Visiting Fellowships:
The International Visiting Fellowship is geared towards experienced practitioners devoted to the promotion and building of democracy and human rights. Applicants should remember that in making its decision, the Taiwan Foundation for Democracy (TFD) considers the relevance of the proposed research topic to the mission of the TFD, the potential contributions that the research can make to the field of human rights or democracy, and the experience and qualifications of the applicant. By the end of their fellowships, fellows should make at least one large, public presentation. International Visiting Fellows will be encouraged to participate in a wide range of conferences, seminars, and other events throughout Taiwan.

The TFD aims to have International Visiting Fellows establish contact and network with Taiwan's related non-governmental organizations, to encourage the development of cooperative international projects, and to support research and writing of those working in the field of democracy assistance.

Another important goal of the TFD is to encourage the building of relationships between organizations, institutions, and individuals working for democracy and human rights issues worldwide. The TFD believes that through an active exchange of ideas and expertise between academics and practitioners, NGOs and academic institutes, democracy and human rights can be strongly promoted not only in Taiwan but internationally as well.

I guess I'm gonna keep busy doing more search and COSing more grants.
