Gladiator Effect
Because I like to speak about film, anime and comics so much (and also because I need to catch up with blogs), I figure why not talk about them. So for the next series of blogs I'm going to speak about the Gladiator effect. To be more specifice the Gladiator effect gets it's name from Ridley Scott's film Gladiator, made in 2000 staring Russell Crowe. The film itself ended up being a huge success, going on to becoming best film of the year along with many other awards. It also went on to become one of the highest grossing films of 200 as well. The film proved so successful that it led to the Gladiator effect which is this new interest in Roman and classical films within the United States. Not only did it renew interest to both Roman and classical films but also books and novels that received a boost in sales after the success of the film Gladiator. Films that are considered part of the Gladitor effect includes Troy, Alexander, Kingdom of Heaven and of course 300.
