Parade? what parade? we basically got rained out. But the 15-minute or so rain simply accelerated the process, and everyone congregated inside the carnival/festival, for some food and music.
Football game? Absolute blowout. So many interceptions that we photographers got lazy and simply stayed in the end-zone, knowing that they'd be back soon enough. The quote of the day was simply:
"they're a religious school. they're not allowed to eat or drink..... or play football apparently"
On another note, I laid my paws on a Canon 300 2.8L IS/1d MKIII combo today. absolutely fantastic. Heavy, extremely heavy for that matter, but still a fantastic combination that I can only dream of owning at some point in the future.
