I really hate Verizon's internet service at this point. They've been pinning me for $30 a month for a good few years now, albeit at an achingly slow speed, where I'm pulling in at most 300kbps down and who knows what upload speed. Anyway, over the summer I threatened to take my money elsewhere, and they told me that I'd had a 3.0mbps connection speed all along (read: lets just secretly up the speed while saying that so you don't suspect that we were screwing you over to begin with). I enjoyed that connectivity speed for a little while and now the connection seems to have defaulted back to snail-speed. If I have to give Verizon an angry call every few months, I will probably be leaving them and taking my money elsewhere. This is absurd.
