Why so tired.

Even though i seem to sleep a lot I always find myself tired. Why is it that we tend to drain ourselves so much over the weekend that the week seems like a battle over the clock. Each minute counts down to the next and each subtraction brings us closer to sleep time. I have heard that our bodies adjust and create some soft of internal alarm clock to keep us regular but then why does my internal clock ask me to sleep all the time.
