A-list Actors

While I was reading media theory through the chapters, I stumbled upon an interesting article (pause for gasp) and found a stifling report on what some actors make. Jim Carrey happens to be the most or top 5 most well paid actors in Hollywood. Jim, Julia Roberts and a few other lucky stars are making about 25 million dollars per film. Jim is very talented but he's never been put into a serious role or movie that ever seemed to be a canon or classic. No actor should be making that much money, especially during recession. The money could be distributed so much more if production didn't give the stars so much power over their salary. If anything, the director is the one that should be making the most money along with producers, because they are the masters and actors are merely the puppets for them. Directors tell them what to do and how to do, and are so much creatively responsible for the magic than people like Cameron who makes 20 million dollars per film...Blasphemy.
