I will come right out and say it...I love Marilyn Manson! Maybe I'm old fashioned, stuck in the 90s, have bad taste, whatever it may be, I simply cannot help it. This morning, I listened to some of his music for the first time in awhile and I fell in love all over again. I will now probably binge on everything Marilyn Manson for the next few months.
In high school I had my first love afar with the man and proceeded to constantly draw and paint his image. One of the pieces I did is above. I now think I am once again tap him for inspiration with this graphic novel/family history project. Who knows how it will turn out...I just can't wait to see my grandma's reaction when I tell her our family history has finally met my inspiration, Marilyn Manson.
