It's a gorgeous Sunday out there!! And I'm absolutely happy that I woke up at 5:30 am today in order to volunteer at the Cedar Beach Thriathlon. The morning was extremely cold and it was still dark outside when we got there but as the sun started rising everyone realised it was going to be a great day. And it actually is!!!! How wonderful and sunny is the weather right now!!
It makes me think about the summer and fun times.
So back to the race. I was at first standing right by the start of the bicycling race. You see the participants running out of the cold water, trying to change into warmer clothes, wearing their sneakers and helmets and walking their bicycles to the staring line... My primary responsibility then was to make sure their helmets are on and they don't start biking until the flags... Then I changed positions and was directing the runners and cheering them up. It felt amazing!!
