Kingdom of Heaven

Its' been some time since I saw this film but it was a good film. Another film from Ridley Scott (he directed Gladiator as well) its about the crusades which is mostly fiction than actually historical. From what I remember the film had great scenery as the setting of the film were great. The landscapes with the music were all engaging as well as fine acting. From what i remember in the many reviews i read the praise and negative views of the film comes from the same source which were the depiction of the characters. The film focused on Saladin (a muslim and kurdish leader) whom battles to reclaim Jerusalem from Christians. In the protrayl of Saladin he is seen as a good man and unlike most hollywood films he wasn'r demonlized or came off as a villian. Instead hee came off as a hero although he wasn't the main characeter of the film. However desipte this some people had a negative view about this as they claimed the character of Saladin was "white wash" and "americanlized" for American audiences. Despite the review (which were all positive except for that one point) this was a good film.
