85. Do you think society makes a big deal of sex? Yes, I think that society is way too preoccupied with who is having sex with who & how. This also makes me think of things like myspace & craiglist or other websites that can be seen as hook up websites, I feel like people put forward their sexual persona over the rest of their personality.
86. Of marriage? Definitely, in it’s simplest form marriage is just a form of security. It’s a ceremony that binds two people together & a promise to be responsible for each other’s lives. Society makes it into a kind of party that it’s not & people get married without realizing what they’re getting into.
87. Of divorce? No, if divorce was made out as a bigger deal in the media I think that less people would be so quick to get married. Divorce is a lot more serious for real people than for celebrities but gossip shows make it seem like for celebrities getting a divorce is like getting a new pair of shoes.
88. Of breeding? Not really, I’ve never felt pressure like I have to have a child but I don’t know if it’s just me. The only thing I can think of is when you’re a teenager you really hope that you won’t get pregnant because you’ll get this label of a teen parent that is looked down upon.
89. Of gay lifestyles? Yes, I think that most people are generally not accepting of gay lifestyles. This is something that once again can be misrepresented in the media where people are arguably more liberal than they are in real life. I feel like a lot of people I’ve encountered are homophobic.
90. Of tradition? Certain traditions, not the important ones. I think that family traditions are becoming less & less important to some people. However, some traditions like drinking on New Years & everything that comes with Valentine’s day seem to be preserved.
