Like all the others, the Blue Lanterns have a quote that goes as follows:
In fearful day, In raging night
with strong hearts full our souls ignite

The blue Lanterns are powered by the emotion of hope which the color/light blue represents. The Blue Lantern Corps have a unique relationship to the Green Lantern Corps. The Blue Lanterns are perhaps the strongest among the other Lanterns however their rings (which is how a member of the Blue eLanterns use their power) will not work without the presence of a Green Lantern. It might sound silly at first but is really do make alot of senses. The Blue Lanterns represent Hope and the Green Lanterns represent willpower. Everyday many people dream of their desires, they hope for many things that never happen. But then there a certain individuials who hope for something so badly that through pure willpower they bring their hopes to life. Hope is only as powerful as the will that pushes it. If one hopes without the will to bring it to life, then that hope never comes to be. That is the relationship between the Blue and Breen Lanterns. The Blue Lanterns can hope but without the Green Lanterns will, their hopes turn to nothing.
This is present and everyone's life. People hope fpr many things all the time, while some only hope others take their own lifes into their hands and try to bring those dreams to life. Hope can be similar to faith, faith in people and faith in God. at the end you are really just hopeing you place your expectations on the right peopel. One of the most basic emotions, sometimes its' our only reason to get through the day and see tomorrow for hope that tomorrow is a better day.
